Sonesta Maho Beach Hotel and Casino, Sint Maarten

This 600-room hotel, recently taken over by the Sonesta chain, is a high-rise built around a sprawling freshwater pool. The Sonesta chain has long been one of our favorites so we’re glad to see them reenter the Caribbean market with this family-friendly resort.

Rooms are divided among two towers and families find plenty of dining option as well as a supervised kids’ club on site. The resort's beach is located right by the airport so expect the sounds of airplanes during your stay.

The resort is located in the middle of the busiest nightlife action on the island but the resort remains pretty quiet in the evenings. During the day, you'll find shops (including a grocery store) nearby.
