Practical Information about St. Lucia

Currency. The Eastern Caribbean (EC) dollar is the official currency. The exchange rate is fixed to the US dollar at US $1 equals EC $2.65.

Electricity. The current on the island is 220 volts, 50 cycles. Some hotels offer 110 volts, 60 cycles. Also, socket styles vary, although most are the three-pin style with square plugs (UK).
