Cancun and the nearby Riviera Maya (the coastal strip that
runs through Playa del Carmen and down to the Maya ruins at Tulum) are
lined with large all-inclusive hotels, many perfect for honeymooners.
The resorts are built to best take advantage of the snow white beach and
the turquoise waters these properties face. Unless otherwise noted, most
all-inclusives in the Cancun area are family-friendly so be aware that
summers, spring break, and holiday seasons may be less peaceful than other
times of the year.

beach of Cancun. When you're ready for a quiet getaway and a look at
a Mexican village, hop the ferry to Isla Mujeres and explore Avalon

Part of the Spanish hotel chain Riu (you'll also find properties in
Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Paradise Island, elsewhere in Mexico,
and in several Europe resort areas), this all-inclusive has has a wide
range of facilities.

Playacar by Occidental
Located 10 minutes from Playa del Carmen,
this all-inclusive has a Polynesian style. There's a golf course nearby
for golf-loving couples.
Aventura
Spa Palace
A sister property of Moon Palace, Xpu-Ha Palace, Sun Palace, Cancun
Palace, and Beach Palace, guests at this property can eat, drink, and
play at the other Palace resorts (transportation is not provided.) This
is an adults-only all-inclusive and includes an extensive spa. Palace
Resorts offers a free wedding package for guests.
Beach Palace
Located on the Riviera Maya, and lots of activities.
ClubHotel Riu Tequila
This all-inclusive, located in Playa del Carmen, includes two
pools and a wide range of activities.
Grand
Xcaret by Occidental
This expansive hotel is located adjacent to Xcaret park, a ecotourism
themed park where your family can swim with dolphins, snorkel along
an underground river, watch an evening folkloric show, or just laze
the day away under tall palms.
Hotel Riu Palace Mexico
Two pools, several restaurants (including a Japanese restaurant),
beach bar, and spa greet guests at this beachfront all-inclusive.
Hotel Riu Playacar
Located near Playa del Carmen, this hotel includes a spa, two
pools, and more.
Hotel Riu Yucatan
Located at Playa del Carmen, this expansive resort has a spa,
restaurant with a non-smoking section, and a hacienda architectural
style.
Iberostar
Quetzal and Iberostar Tucan
These two large resorts sit side by side and guests can use facilities
at either. Evenings include an excellent floor show. Howler monkeys
live in the surrounding lowland jungle and their calls plus the beautiful
landscaping give the resorts a truly tropical atmosphere.

Paraiso del Mar and Iberostar Paraiso Beach
These two resorts share facilities; sitting side by side, guests
can dine or play at either property. They're also located next door
to the more upscale Paraiso Lindo and Paraiso Maya .

These upscale all-inclusives offer a luxury getaway for families
interested in an all-inclusive stay. The adjoining properties share
pool facilities and both offer concierge service for each room block.
Iberostar Paraiso Maya, the newest of the two, is also the most luxurious,
with all suites. Guests at Paraiso Lindo and Paraiso Maya may also play
and dine at the neighboring Paraiso del Mar and Paraiso Beach.

This mega-resort includes over 2000 guest rooms, a wide swath of beach
on the Riviera Maya, and lots of activities. Rooms have private balconies.

This all-inclusive provides 24-hour room service and free transportation
into Cancun.

A sister resort of several other Palace Resorts in the area, guests
may arrange their own transportation and play and dine at the other
