Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort, Ocho Rios Jamaica's largest conference hotel (formerly the Renaissance Jamaica Grande), is right in Ocho Rios and bustles with groups thanks to its expansive conference center. It was closed for a major renovation through much of 2004 but reopened with rooms brightened with tropical colors. Recently the resort added a large lighthouse complete with waterslides. Guest accommodations are divided between two high-rise towers; the best views are found in the north tower. The beach here is small, so most guests spend their time at the huge pool, which is built as a replica of Dunn's River Falls. Kids are kept busy in the complimentary supervised program.
