  Practical Information about Curaçao

Banks. Bank hours are 8am to 3pm. ATMs are available for use with some cards.

Currency. The official currency is the Antillean guilder, exchanged at a rate of US $1=ANG 1.77.

Driving. Driving is on the right side of the road.

Electricity. The current is a little different from that found in the United States. Curaçao operates at 110-130 volts alternating current, 50 cycles.

Information. Call the Curaçao Tourist Board, Tel. 800/328-7222.

Information on Island: Once you’re here, stop by the Visitors Information Booth at the airport (just past customs) for brochures and maps. The tourism office is located at 19 Pietermaai in Willemstad, Tel. 434-8200.

Language. The official language of Curaçao is Dutch although you will find English widely spoken.
