Getting Around the Cayman Islands Transportation around Grand Cayman is easy. Take your pick from taxis and group tours as well as rental cars, vans, jeeps, and sedans. On Grand Cayman, 4x4 vehicles are commonplace and many travelers enjoy driving around the island in the open-air vehicles. Air-conditioned sedans are also available on Grand Cayman and often a better choice for families and those who want to secure their valuables while at the beach or in town. Most agencies feature American and Japanese models. Some offer unlimited mileage, free pick-up and drop-off, and free airport transfers. Remember, however, that driving on all three islands is on the LEFT side of the road. You will however, usually be driving a left-drive, American style car (although we have rented right-drive jeeps in Cayman) so plan on a period of adjustment! Back to Cayman with Kids
