Passports, Entry Requirements

For travelers from most countries, entry requirements for the Caribbean are pretty easy. Most allow admission on a current passport without a visa. (American citizens don't need passports to visit the US Virgin Islands or Puerto Rico but you will need proof of identity to board the plane.) For specific entry requirements, be sure to check the official tourist board website listed with each country on this site.

For American Travelers:

For All Travelers:

  • Letter of Consent Any time both birth parents aren't present, you should carry a letter of consent to make sure entry is no problem (especially in Mexico).
