Passports, Entry Requirements

For travelers from most countries, entry requirements for the Caribbean are pretty easy. Most allow admission on a current passport without a visa. For specific entry requirements, be sure to check the official tourist board website listed with each country on this site.

NOTE: Before January 2007, American travelers can enter many Caribbean countries using an official birth certificate and identification but on January 1, 2007 all Americans will need to show a valid passport to reenter the US.

For American Travelers:

For All Travelers:

  • Letter of Consent Any time both birth parents aren't present, you should carry a letter of consent to make sure entry is no problem (especially in Mexico).
