Bitter End Yacht Club and Resort, Virgin Gorda This 100-room resort is located at the bitter end of the BVI on the North Sound. Reached only by boat, this resort gives you the feeling of staying at a yacht club, where days are spent in close connection with the sea. The resort boasts 150 vessels, the largest fleet of recreational boats in the Caribbean. Many guests arrive via their own craft and
simply dock for their stay. Those without a boat can stay in a resort
room or aboard one of the club yachts. Children are an important part of the clientele
at the Bitter End. Families have complimentary use of over 100 watercrafts,
from sailboats to windsurfers to Boston Whaler tenders. Children can also
participate in the Bitter Ends Nick Trotter Sailing and Windsurfing
Class. The Junior Sailing Program offers half-day lessons for young mariners
age seven to 12 on a year around basis. (Lessons are complimentary during
the summer months as well as during school holidays.) Other family oriented activities at the resort include snorkel lessons with the watersports staff, guided nature hikes or striking out on your own on the hiking trails, and cruises to the Baths and Anegada in the BVI. Families can also take out a Boston Whaler skiff to a nearby private island for a quiet picnic. Back to BVI with Kids |
