POTD: St. Croix's Fort Christiansvaern

Built in the 1770s to protect the harbor of Christiansted in St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands, Fort Christiansvaern is now administered by the US National Park Service. Kids enjoy the historic fort which was built during Danish occupation; it's located literally steps from the shopping area in Christiansted so it makes an easy stop. The grounds are a great place to have a picnic lunch and you can then take a self-guided tour of the fort.
