Beach This expansive resort (formerly the Sonesta) is home of Bermuda’s only water park, making it a real favorite with families. Wahoo! utilizes 230,000 gallons of water, in a whole medley of water options: a main pool, three activity pools, a 110-foot-long translucent body slide, "a lazy river" with a 140-foot-long open-air river for tubing, rafting and swimming, a hot tub, and more. Mindful of Bermuda’s cooler weather (remember, it’s technically not part of the Caribbean), the waterpark is heated. Along with the waterpark,
another draw for families is the Island Explorers Children’s Program,
aimed at kids ages 5 to 12. The program is available from June 1 through
Labor Day only as well as major holidays. The program, which includes
activities ranging from storytelling to arts and crafts, is free for guests
but there is a small charge when activities include off-property visits.
(There is a charge for lunches). Babysitting is also available. The resort itself is located on the south shore of the island, surrounded by 33 acres plus three excellent beaches. Back to Bermuda
