Westin and Sheraton at Our Lucaya Beach and Golf Resort, Grand Bahama Island

This massive resort is actually two properties in one: the Westin and the Sheraton. The Westin is located on the far end of the property and is a quiet getaway that’s favored by couples and adult travelers without kids.

The Sheraton is the largest block of the property, a high-rise with plenty of activities for all ages. Our Lucaya is a good choice for parents and kids. Guest rooms are decorated with a Caribbean flair, and there are four outdoor pools to choose from. Parents can relax at the resort’s Senses Spa and fitness center, while kids enjoy Camp Lucaya.

Camp Lucaya is an educational facility for kids 2.5 to 12 years, but that doesn’t mean that kids won’t have fun! Kids can participate in arts and crafts using native Bahamian materials, hear local fairy tales and myths, attend theme parties, go on excursions with the explorer’s club, participate in beach olympics, and take part in other exciting activities. Camp Lucaya is open from 9 am to 5 pm every day, and until 10 pm on Thursday through Saturday during peak periods. For the youngest travelers, there’s also a nursery available between 9 am and 5 pm (closed for lunch.)
