Ardastra Gardens and Zoo

A longtime attraction is the Ardastra Gardens and Zoo. The only zoo in the Bahamas, Ardastra features 300 species of animals and 50 species of birds including monkeys, iguanas, and marching pink flamingos.

For a long time, we didn't really like Ardastra; its caged animals were depressing to view. On our last visit, however, we found a more environmentally friendly zoo that was fun to visit as well as educational.
