Renaissance Aruba Beach Resort and Casino Located in downtown Oranjestad, this resort offers two distinct options: the Marina Hotel (on the land side and popular for adults who want to be closer to the nightlife) and or the The Renaissance Ocean Suites, the best family choice thanks to its oceanside location and all-suites offerings. In the Ocean Suites, the recently renovated guest
rooms include a king bed, a living room with a queen sofa bed, minibar,
fridge, coffeemaker, high-speed internet access (there is a surcharge
for access), and either a balcony or patio. While Mom and Dad relax at the casinos or spa, the
kids can enjoy the childrens program, called the Patamingo Club.
(Whats a Patamingo, you ask? According to Renaissance legend, the
patamingo is a half-duck, half-flamingo who lives on Renaissance Island
(just offshore) and lays two or three chocolate eggs every morning, ones
gathered daily by the employees and handed out to lucky children. The supervised kids club is available for children ages 5-12 and includes both daytime and nighttime programs. Day activities include arts and crafts, face painting, Papiamento lessons, dance lessons, and beach Olympic games. In the evenings, your kids can enjoy movies, miniature golf, and more. The day program runs from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm daily and it's available on a half-day or full-day basis. The full-day cost includes lunch. The evening program is available Friday and Saturday nights only from 6 pm to 9:30 pm; the price includes dinner. For more than one child in the family, each additional child pays only half price. Babysitting services are also available. Back to Aruba with Kids
