Aruba: Getting There, Getting Around
Getting There Aruba is a 2-1/2 hour flight from Miami or
four hours from New York. Service into Queen Beatrix International Airport
is available from American, Continental, Delta, KLM, United, USAirways,
and others. Getting Around the Island Taxis are available in resort areas or you can have one dispatched. Rates are fixed (no meters), so check with your driver before the ride. Taxi rates from Palm Beach to Oranjestad run about US$16; you may pay in US dollars. Rental cars are widely available and traffic is light; of all the Caribbean, this is one of our favorite places for renting a car thanks to that sparse traffic. Driving is on the right side of the road. Back with Aruba with Kids |
