Aruba's Beaches

Much of Aruba’s allure is the sea, both for its beaches and the action in the water.

On the southwest end of the island, Palm and Eagle beaches are some of the most popular because of their proximity to the major hotels.

For the the calmest waters head to Baby Beach (right). Located on the far southern tip of the island near the town of San Nicolas, it is well-known for its lake-calm waters and a favorite with families.

Swimmers should avoid the waters of the island’s north shore, which are rough and often plagued by undertow. These waters, often favored by surfers, aren't appropriate for families.
